1. Power down the VL100.
2. Connect the micro-USB into the USB1 or USB2 port of the VL100.
3. Power on the VL100.
If the Pin Pad does not turn on, contact your ISO to configure your VL100 to accept External Pin Pad Support
Enabling External PinPad Support via Online Portal.
1. In the Portal, Navigate to Device Management.
2. Locate the EPI of your VL100, followed by selecting the Vertical Ellipsis followed by Edit Parameters.
3. Scroll down to Terminal & Transactions and select Yes on Enable External Pinpad Support and hit Save.
4. Perform a Package Download on your VL100 to save the changes.
If the Pin Pad communicates Keys Not Present follow the RKI steps below.
1. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the PinPad Y-Cable.
2. Power Cycle the Pin Pad (Press and hold the Power button on the PinPad) and an RKI Download will be triggered.
Once Completed, you can remove the Ethernet cable from the PinPad Y-Cable.
